My boyfriend and I used Best Jamaica Day Tours while on vacation in Runaway Bay, Jamaica. We took 2 day trips and had Prince as our driver both days. He was fantastic. We couldn’t have asked for a better driver or a better time. Prince and Stevert (who we spoke to through email to organize the trips and met the night if our last trip) took care of everything. We had a cooler with ice in the back of the car with us both days. We stopped to get beer and drinks whenever needed. If our plans changed last minute, no problem. If we needed more information about a possible side-trip Prince called around and found out for us, no problem. Don’t be afraid to ask, almost anything is possible. We were able to sit back, relax, and feel safe and comfortable while enjoying great music and conversation driving through Jamaica with Prince.
Our first day trip we left Runaway Bay to go to the Bob Marley mausoleum. It was a “bucket list” item that is a must do. Respect mon. Good vibes, good people, good history. What crazy ride (but awesome) ride up the mountain. Once again, thanks Prince! He took great care of us, was a great driver, and we had a great time. Hiring a private driver is the only comfortable way to do these kinds of day trips. Riding in a bus, on someone elses schedule, with 20 other people, no stops for beer, no flexibility, no way. Best Jamaica Day Tours will give you the best experience for your money. Honestly, it’s worth it.
A few days later we decided to head out to the Appleton Rum Estate as we heard they had just renovated. Once again, kept in contact with Stevert through email, always a quick response, always professional and super organized. Always had an itinerary for us with prices all laid out. Seriously, a great job here. Prince picked us up at our hotel and off we went up another mountain. Once again Prince took care of us. Beer and bathroom stops, changes in plans, this man will take care of you. We highly recommend the Appleton Estate tour. We got there early enough (noonish) to have a tour all to ourselves. Amazing. Then down to YS falls. Again, we ended up timing it just right. We had the falls all to ourselves. We got great pictures and had a great time. After YS falls we headed back down the mountain towards Montego Bay and stopped at Scotchies for dinner. We were there just in time for sunset. Delicious food. Thursday was BBQ ribs, also had jerk chicken, pork, corn, and festival. Gotta try it all. Perfect end to a great day.
I can’t say enough good things about Prince, Stevert, and Best Jamaica Day Tours. We will definitely be using them again when we return to Jamaica next year. This is the best way to experience Jamaica. Well worth the little bit of extra money to enjoy peace, privacy, and a unique, up close Jamaican experience.
